Exciting Announcements!

Welcome back to the Total Performance Newsletter! If you are a new subscriber and did not receive previous editions, check out the "Newsletter" tab on my website (www.totalperformance-pt.com) and they are all posted there. If you have trouble accessing this link, please let me know!

Before we dive into today's topic, I wanted to give a quick social media plug. Follow us on Instagram (@total_performance_pt) and Facebook (@Total Peformance Physical Therapy). I have been more active in those places and will be making regular posts on ways to further help you move better, feel better, and perform better!

Getting back to today’s newsletter, we are going to take a break from anything clinical/health related and instead make a few exciting announcements!

A few months back we had announced we were looking to hire another physical therapist to join the team and after a thorough search, which of course included a strict vetting process from Riley, we have found the perfect candidate! I am thrilled to officially introduce Total Performance's newest team member, Dr. Lindsay Butterfield!

I will allow Lindsay to introduce herself below, but she will be hanging out at the gym starting the week of January 12th, and then will officially start seeing patients January 26th! Stay tuned for further information on how to schedule with Lindsay in the next few weeks.

Click here for Lindsay's introduction video and feel free to read her bio below:

Lindsay graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University. She spent the first 7 years of her career practicing in New York City, collaborating with top orthopedic doctors and working with young athletes to aging adults. She played collegiate lacrosse at Western Michigan University and has also competed in volleyball and softball.

Lindsay has special interests in orthopedic and sports-related injuries, with additional focused expertise in perinatal care and orthopedic-based treatment of the pelvic floor. She enjoys working with women across the entire spectrum—from prepartum through pregnancy and into the postpartum period—helping them feel strong, supported, and empowered throughout each stage.

She became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2021.

When she isn’t working, Lindsay enjoys weightlifting, watching football, and spending time outdoors with her family and dog, Frank.

On a personal level, I could not be more excited for Lindsay to join the team and I'm more excited for all of you to meet her!

Now, you may be asking, "is there really enough room in the current gym for you, Lindsay, and Riley?" Well, I put a lot of thought into that, and I am also excited to announce we will be moving the gym to new and MUCH bigger location! The new gym is located right down the road from the current gym, with the new gym's address being 2667 Orchard Lake, Road, Sylvan Lake. I will provide more details on directions as we get closer, but it is basically a giant warehouse unit that we are in the process of transforming into the ultimate facility for everything health, rehab, performance, and wellness! The first day at the new gym is scheduled to be January 12th-stay tuned for some progress pictures as the building process comes along.

Along with these announcements, I also wanted to take some time to give an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to everyone who has walked through the doors at Total Performance. Absolutely none of this would be possible without your support and trust. The ability to come to work each day in gym clothes and help people achieve their health and performance goals is the only thing I ever wanted to do. Beyond that, I deeply value the personal relationships that I feel lucky to have developed with each of you. I am eternally grateful for all of it, and I can't wait to continue to grow our community heading into the new year!

Stay tuned for next month's newsletter where we will get back to some clinical/health related information!
